Yarrow Hydrosol- wildharvested, all natural, skin soothing floral water (60ml)

$12.00

Hydrosols, otherwise known as “floral waters” are produced through the distillation of fresh plant material, such as flowers, leaves, fruits, barks, etc. They are the co-distillate of essential oil production and have similar properties to their respective essential oil counterparts. However, they are much less concentrated and contain unique water-soluble compounds that are not found in the essential oils.

All of our hydrosols are lovingly produced from sustainably wild-crafted plants in beautiful PNW forests or grown (pesticide-free) in our own garden in a traditional Portugeuse copper alembic still. They are extremely versatile and can be used in many ways, as a refreshing aromatherapy mist, as a skin-balancing toner, used as non-toxic household cleaners, a fragrant aftershave, or simply as a gentle substitute for your favorite essential oil blend.

Yarrow:

This is an amazing wild-harvested yarrow hydrosol. Yarrow hydrosol is one that everyone should keep in their first aid kit. It is an incredibly potent styptic, meaning that it helps to stop bleeding fast. Traditionally, it was used on the battlefield and was known as woundwort and solider’s wort because it was such an important herb in a battlefield doctor’s kit.

Additionally, yarrow contains a chemical constituent called azulene, which is a blue pigment, that has incredible anti-inflammatory properties. This wildharvested yarrow hydrosol has a gorgeous blue tinge to it.

Uses:

  • spray directly on bleeding wounds to stop the flow of blood almost immediately

  • spray on wounds and irritation to assist healing.

  • use as a refreshing facial mist for irritated or acne-prone skin

  • spray on painful muscles and joints for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect.
