Lemon balm is one of my favorite herbs because it calms not only the mind, but the also the body. It is safe, gentle, and very effective, plus it has a gorgeous lemony mint fresh taste. It is an excellent nervine and antispasmodic, meaning that it calms the nerves and reduces painful muscle spasms, most notably in the digestive system. It is perfect for individuals who suffer from “nervous stomachs.”

Traditionally, it has been used as a gentle tonic to help ease melancholy and anxiety. It’s also a fantastic antiviral due to its high levels of polyphenols and has been used to help relieve symptoms associated with herpes simplexes and colds and flu.

Our Lemon Balm Elixir was created at the height of summer from fresh lemon balm grown lovingly in my garden. It is combined with raw and organic honey that is produced by a local farm with a deep commitment to sustainability and French brandy to create the most exquisite elixir. Take it during times of stress, if you feel like you’re coming down with a viral illness, to help boost your mood, or whenever you want to simply enjoy its flavor.

Ingredients: Brandy, Melissa officinalis (pesticide-free), and raw organic honey.

Directions: Take 15-30 drops per mouth, in a glass of water, tea, or juice, as needed. Not to be used by children.
