Oregon Grape Tincture - wild-harvested tincture for infections, blood sugar support, and digestion (30ml)

$15.00

Oregon Grape is another amazing PNW native herb that grows prolifically in this region with its spiky leaves and beautiful blue berries. It is a profoundly bitter herb that works like other bitters by promoting the production of salvia, gastric juices, and bile to help your body digest foods better. It is also considered to be a hepatic herb, meaning that it is supportive to healthy liver, and additionally, gallbladder function.

Traditionally, Oregon grape has been used by the Native tribes of the PNW to treat stubborn infections and parasites. Both goldenseal and Oregon grape contain the alkaloid berberine, a natural antibiotic that has antiseptic properties useful for treating many different types of bacterial and fungal infections, potentially even MRSA. It is a great tincture to take with you if you are traveling abroad to an area where gastrointestinal infections or parasites are more common.

While Oregon grape is a more ecologically friendly choice than goldenseal, a plant which has become critically endangered due to overharvesting. In recent years Oregon grape has been subject to increased harvesting and is a plant that should be used with care and respect. Our Oregon grape tincture is sustainably wild-harvested from the fresh root bark- we never take more than a tiny bit from each plant.

Ingredients: 1-2 tincture with pure grain alcohol, water, wild-harvested fresh Oregon grape bark.
