Lemon balm is one of my favorite herbs because it calms not only the mind, but the also the body. It is safe, gentle, and very effective, plus it has a gorgeous lemony mint fresh taste. It is an excellent nervine and antispasmodic, meaning that it calms the nerves and reduces painful muscle spasms, most notably in the digestive system. It is perfect for individuals who suffer from “nervous stomachs.”
Traditionally, it has been used as a gentle tonic to help ease melancholy and anxiety. It’s also a fantastic antiviral due to its high levels of polyphenols and has been used to help relieve symptoms associated with herpes simplexes and colds and flu.
Our Lemon Balm Elixir was created at the height of summer from fresh lemon balm grown lovingly in my garden. It is combined with raw and organic honey that is produced by a local farm with a deep commitment to sustainability and French brandy to create the most exquisite elixir. Take it during times of stress, if you feel like you’re coming down with a viral illness, to help boost your mood, or whenever you want to simply enjoy its flavor.
All of the Momoko Therapeutics elixirs can be combined with our herbal teas to sweeten them and give a boost of medicinal properties.

Lavender isn’t only for sniffing, It is also a beautiful herb that has potent nervine properties that help to relax an overstressed nervous system and calm down anxiety and stress fast. Not only is hawthorn an excellent physical heart remedy, but also works on the heart’s emotional center. Hawthorn is one of my favorite herbs to take during times of anxiety, stress, and grief. The Passionflower vine not only produces delicious, tropical, tart fruits, but also has medicinal leaves and flowers, which are an excellent remedy for calming anxieties and helping to alleviate insomnia. Passionflowers have the most exotic-looking flowers, which were originally named after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, after the interesting arrangement of stamens in the center of the flower.
Passionflowers have anxiolytic, tranquilizing, and sedating properties, helping to calm overstimulated nervous systems and relieve occasional insomnia. They also have pain-relieving and antispasmodic properties, making passionflower a good herbal ally to have if you suffer from painful menstrual cramping or headaches.

Devil’s Club grows deep in the damp forest in the PNW and was a very important medicinal and spiritual herb to indigenous tribes in the region. This spiky plant, named cukilanarpak in one of the native Alaskan languages, translates to “big plant with needles,” and if you have ever had a spiky encounter with Devil’s Club you will know how true this is! Native tribes used this plant to for its protective properties, making jewelry or other talismans out of its uniquely hollow woody stem. It was used as a ritual herb by shamans during journey work. Native tribes used this amazing botanical for gastrointestinal complaints, tuberculosis, and to relieve painful inflammatory conditions, like arthritis.
Devil’s Club, distantly related to American ginseng, has a multitude of herbal applications - everything from potentially supportive of the cardiovascular system, pain relieving, antispasmodic, supportive of lung health during respiratory illness, blood sugar stabilizing, and as an adaptogen to help balance cortisol levels.
Our Devil’s Club tincture is sustainably wild-harvested in the spring in the beautiful forest of PNW. We are very conscientious of never taking too much and always paying deep respect and gratitude to this spiritual plant during our harvest and processing.

Oregon Grape is another amazing PNW native herb that grows prolifically in this region with its spiky leaves and beautiful blue berries. It is a profoundly bitter herb that works like other bitters by promoting the production of salvia, gastric juices, and bile to help your body digest foods better. It is also considered to be a hepatic herb, meaning that it is supportive to healthy liver, and additionally, gallbladder function.
Traditionally, Oregon grape has been used by the Native tribes of the PNW to treat stubborn infections and parasites. Both goldenseal and Oregon grape contain the alkaloid berberine, a natural antibiotic that has antiseptic properties useful for treating many different types of bacterial and fungal infections, potentially even MRSA. It is a great tincture to take with you if you are traveling abroad to an area where gastrointestinal infections or parasites are more common.
While Oregon grape is a more ecologically friendly choice than goldenseal, a plant which has become critically endangered due to overharvesting. In recent years Oregon grape has been subject to increased harvesting and is a plant that should be used with care and respect. Our Oregon grape tincture is sustainably wild-harvested from the fresh root bark- we never take more than a tiny bit from each plant.

Nettle is one of my favorite springtime tonic plants, for good reason, they are highly nutritious and so useful for a wide range of conditions! Nettles are beneficial for allergies due to their anti-allergenic properties and high flavonoid quantity, most notably quercetin. They are good source of critical minerals, including iron, potassium, and calcium, helping to rebuild a weakened state and improve stamina, like in the case of anemia or chronic fatigue. Nettles also have diuretic properties that help to flush out waste products, without affecting electrolyte balance, and are a great liver supportive herb.
Our Nettle Tincture is collected from the first, most tender, and nutritious nettles that appear at the beginning of spring. It has a gorgeous green color and is the perfect springtime reset after a long winter.
Ingredients: 1:2 tincture, with pure grain alcohol, aqua, and fresh nettles.
Directions: take 15-50 drops in a glass of water, juice, or tea, as needed.
Contraindications: Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant, nursing, or have a serious chronic health condition. Do not use nettle if you are antipsychotic or diabetes medications as it may flush the drugs out of your system faster due to the diuretic effects. Do not take if you have severely low blood pressure. Do not take if you have a blood clotting disorder or are on anti-coagulant medications.

Containing a natural form of salicylic acid, the pain relieving compound in aspirin, willow has been used to reduce fevers and treat painful conditions for thousands of years, in many different cultures, including Asia, Africa, Europe, and by the indigenous tribes of the North America.
Willow’s key actions are anti-inflammatory and analgesic, by inhibiting prostaglandin production, which are pain inflammatory compounds that are released during times of injury or illness. Willow is also a frebrifuge, meaning that it helps to lower fevers naturally.
Our Willow Tincture is a great remedy to use to combat painful inflammatory conditions, like arthritis, menstrual cramps, and headaches. It doesn’t thin the blood like synthetic salicylates and does not irritate the stomach lining to the same degree. We wild-harvest the fresh bark in the spring months when the medicinal quality is at its highest and most potent.
Directions: take 15-30 in a glass of water, juice, or tea, as needed. Do not exceed 3 times per day or take for more than 5 days in a row.

Turmeric, ginger, and black pepper are a powerful synergistic combination that may be beneficial in treating a variety of inflammatory conditions and helping to relieve the painful symptoms associated with them. Our Turmeric Plus tincture is made from fresh organic turmeric from a small Hawaiian farm, fresh organic ginger, and organic peppercorns.

Most people consider dandelions to be pesky weeds, rather than a powerful plant ally and springtime food source that was brought over with immigrants as part of their botanical toolkit. All parts of the dandelion can be eaten, from its sunny and cheerful flowers, highly nutritious green leaves, and medicinal taproots.
Traditionally, dandelion roots have been used as a supportive liver tonic. They contain bitter compounds, that help to encourage healthy digestion through the stimulation of gastric juices as well as stimulating the production of bile that is essential in breaking down fats. They are also a diuretic, meaning that they help to flush fluids from the body, and have a detoxifying and supportive effect on the kidneys. Dandelion is a mild laxative too due to its inulin content, so please note overconsumption can have a laxative effect.
Our Dandelion Root Tincture is made from fresh and wildcrafted dandelion roots on land that has never bee. sprayed with herbicides or pesticides and pure grain alcohol.
Directions: Take 15-30 drops in a glass of water or juice, as needed.
Ingredients: 1:2 tincture of pure grain alcohol, water, and Taraxacum officinale

Collected on the Summer Solstice, our beautiful deep red St. John’s Wort tincture is made from fresh flowers and represents a powerful plant ally. Traditionally, St. John’s Wort has been used as a mood boost, specifically for helping with depression and anxiety. In my opinion as a professional certified herbalist, it works best when used for Seasonal Affective Disorder, which is something that a lot of us suffer from here in the PNW, when the sun rarely makes an appearance during the long winter months. St. John’s Wort can also be extremely beneficial for painful neuralgia and other types of nerve pain.
Additionally, St. John’s Wort has potent antiviral properties, making it a great herb to use when dealing with painful viral diseases, like shingles and herpes, especially when it is combined with lemon balm.
Directions: take 30-60 drops in a glass of water, juice, or tea, as needed. Do not exceed 3 times per day.
Ingredients: pure grain alcohol, potato alcohol, aqua, fresh St. John’s Wort flowers
Contraindications: St. John’s Wort is not recommended if you taking hormonal birth control, antibiotics, anti-depressant, and anxiety medications. Since St. John’s Wort has interactions with lots of prescription medications, please look up any medications before taking them together. May cause photosensitivity in some individuals.

One of the most beautifully romantic flowers is also a great healer and medicinal. Rose petals are astringent, antiseptic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and mildly sedating. Roses help to uplift the mood, and most of all support the emotions during times of stress and grief. They are also a great ally for female hormonal imbalances and support. Whenever I struggle to deal with loss or difficult transitions in my life, I always call upon the healing power of roses.
Our Wild Rose Elixir is made with Nootka roses, wild roses native to the PNW. They are collected during the summer as the bees buzz all around- they absolutely adore these roses too. Don’t worry, I always make sure to only take a small amount and leave the rest for our pollinator friends. As I collect the roses, I make sure my heart is full of love and gratitude, which I truly believe transfers into this sweet elixir.
Our Wild Rose Elixir is made with fresh Nootka roses, raw and organic honey that is produced by a local farm with a deep commitment to sustainability and French brandy to create the most exquisite elixir.
